The Liberal Democrats voted in favour of giving residents a say on the latest version of the Local Plan at Warrington's Council Meeting on Monday. The Plan will now go out for six weeks consultation.
The Liberal Democrat Group welcomes the opening of discussions on a devolution deal with central government which would involve the Cheshire and Warrington Authorities working more closely together.
Cllr Bob Barr provided the following comment to the Warrington Guardian in response to the updated Local Plan proposals:
Let's focus on what truly works: tackling the backlog, creating safe routes, and upholding our commitment to human rights. As Liberal Democrats, we will continue to fight for a fairer and more compassionate asylum system.

We urgently need to implement our plan to fix our crumbling NHS hospitals. Without it, more patients will suffer unnecessarily at the hands of this Conservative government’s neglect of our health service.
