Lib Dem plans lead to Recycling Week boost

Lib Dem Prospective MP for Warrington South Jo Crotty is saluting the effect Lib Dem leadership of Warrington Council has had on recycling rates as the nation observes Recycling Week. "We want people to understand that recycling is easy and does not have to be hard work," said Dr Crotty. "38% of household waste in Warrington is now being recycled. This represents a big improvement since the Lib Dems took leadership of the council just a few years ago. Last year the people of Warrington recycled 10,000 tonnes through the Lib Dem's new kerbside collection scheme alone."

Jo Crotty launches Warrington campaign to reform government

Lib Dem MEP visits Stockton Heath for recession update

Crotty claims victory as Straw retreats over Titan

Warrington South Liberal Democrat Prospective MP Jo Crotty is today declaring victory in the campaign to stop the Labour Government's plans for a Titan prison on the Omega Business Park in Warrington. Justice Minister Jack Straw confirmed this morning that plans for a Titan prison in Warrington, as well as the whole Titan building programme, would be scrapped.
